Operating System Upgrade and Dotnet Application Migration

This is the TrueValue Infrastructure initiative where they need to upgrade Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012. Majority of the legacy applications and web pages which are written in dot net are deployed on the Windows Server 2003 and the plan is to deploy each of these application in IIS from scratch. 

Responsibilities:

• Decide and Finalize the server location to be DMZ or Non DMZ
• Analysis on each application of TrueValue Ecosystem for its connectivity from other application. This activity ensures the firewall rules which need to open to communicate with other server in different zones.
• Creation of new DNS/domain names and assign it to the IP address of the new servers.
• Identifying the need of SSL certificates for any domain and work with Security team to get the certificates.
• Setting up IIS(including Logging) and App-Pools(including Logging and Recycling) for each application
• Testing each individual dotnet application thoroughly.  Code changes which needed due to OS upgrade in dotnet applications.
   

Figment Financial Rule Engine

Working in the innovation Lab of Lincoln Financial Group’s (LFG) subsidiary called Figment Financial. Figment Financial is gaining the momentum to come into the main stream by adapting the cutting edge technologies. I got an opportunity to work on the niche skill which also includes building a POC for a virtual call center. 

Responsibilities:

• Created a custom Lambda Function for the customers who are seeking quotes for insurance from Figment Financial.
• Lambda function is written is C# using .Net Core SDK in Visual Studio Code.
• The Custom Lambda Function is used in Amazon Lex, AWS Connect where user can complete their application over phone or using Chat window on Figment Financial website.
• Automate processes by integrating different applications using Zapier. 

Bulk Loader

Developed a multi Robot system to place bulk orders online. System consist of multiple robot’s communication in which one robot is email listener and is responsible to read emails from outlook, it then extracts excel attached and save to the shared folder. Each file is mapped to a work item which will push into the Queue. The other group of work robots will extract the work item from the Queue, fetch the mapped file to it and place the order through web portal.

Responsibilities:

• Assessed business challenges and share the knowledge of Robotics capability and limitations to business.
• Charted the idea of BOTs in TrueValue and Orchestrated a detail end-to-end architecture of the RPA solution.  Extensive end-to-end implementation experience in RPA using UiPath.
• Chaired different roles i.e. Architect, Infrastructure, Developer, Business Analyst & Tester.  Developed a scalable solution where additional robots can easily be scaled if volume of the task increases.
• Implemented the best coding practices for the easy maintainability and support of the BOTs by implementing logging and alert emails.
• Experience in creating RPA Lifecycle, RPA Enterprise Architecture, Architectural Blueprint, Environments setup (DEV, UAT, and PROD), RPA COE setup and build the reusable components and templates.
• Experience in creating Process Definition Document (PDD), Solution Design Document (SDD), Solution diagrams and object model diagrams, Process mapping, As-Is and To-Be maps.
• Extensively worked on UiPath Orchestration for scheduling the unattended BOTs and monitoring the running BOTs.
• Integrate UiPath with Google Cognitive APIs for the sentiment analysis of the Reviews on the TV.com  Currently doing R&D on security and working on integrating BOTs with Active Directory.
   

Product Information Management

The requirement of this project is expressed as a need from business for:

• Addition of product attributes for an item in VMD.
• Capturing Category attributes at the Fineline Hierarchy Level.
• Enabling search based on category data in Net Warehouse.

The benefits of this exercise is:

• Addition of category attributes will provide for a better way to distinguish and segregate items.
• Category attributes will describe a product in more detail, and it will be easier for business to highlight a list of attributes for an item that would likely be more appealing to customers and permit easy selection.
• Simpler “path-to-discovery” retailer experience by providing standardized Fineline hierarchy structure that removes redundancy and improves product classification. Responsibilities:
• Development of REST full WebAPIs which are responsible to pass Fineline Hierarchy item data and their attributes from Riversand PIM to Vendor Managed Data (VMD) application.
• These WebAPIs also play a vital role in Creation, Addition, Edit or delete of items in the VMD and ultimately from the central repository which is Riversand PIM.
• Developed a class library which encapsulate these APIs with interfaces. This class library is used by VMD.
• Interaction with Riversand is done through WCF Webservices.
• In order to provide a good user experience to MIO team, created a small MVC application which showcase the fineline hierarchy and its corresponding attributes on screen.
• Used JIRA & Confluence for Project and Issue Tracking Tool.
• Create and ran successfully Unit test cases and Integration testing.
