Up until recent, I was employed at Singapore Airlines as Senior Director of Digital Strategy & Innovation in Singapore/USA/Europe, where I was responsible for the Digital Strategy/transformation in their newly created Digital Organization-creating a digital airline connecting Customers, Workforce (MRO/Operations: Flight+Ground+Airport)) +Aircraft (Design+Training). I had successfully led to the creation of Digital Strategy focused on real-time insights, Open Platforms and Data initiatives, connected operations between Aviation, Travel and Tourism Ecosystem. I was instrumental in creation of Digital Innovation - Kris Innovation Labs, SIA Accelerator AppChallenge, emerging technologies (AI/ML/CV/IoT/ BlockChain/Robotics/ Mobility/Wearable). I was Cofounder and CPO of a startup, which I ran in parallel along with my day job at Samsung, and was focused on Digitally Connected Smart Cities/Buildings/Homes providing Advanced Analytics. I was responsible for product strategy, business and monetization models, customer and client engagement, partnerships & alliances and scaling up of Startup to global operations spanning Asia and ASEAN. The technology and product concept was to use the emerging technologies of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Audio Pattern recognition, Image Pattern recognition an algorithmic approach to solve the modern day problems of the world and assist in solving rapid urbanization and GHG/global climatic changes.
As a Global Strategist in the Global Strategy Group of Samsung, I was instrumental in formulating and developing strategic initiatives across Samsung Group of Companies and its affiliates. I had developed corporate development & Strategy, Business & Product Technology, Global Market expansion, Growth Strategies, M&A and JV identification, trend analysis of operations/ business/technology and comparative and competitive response. I played a key role in Samsung entering the markets of Connected smart products (Home/Building/ Automotive), IoT markets, Education, Healthcare, Wearable, Platform strategy of IoT/ML/AI/CV. Instrumental in helping and shaping Samsung as a central innovation hub connecting open innovation eco- system global partnerships & alliances, creating Global Center of Excellence/ Competency Centers of Emerging Technologies/R&D Research Labs and successfully monetized, yielding market cap/share and increased profits.
I had worked with Booz Allen Hamilton as Practice Leader/Associate Partner/Principal in their Strategy, Innovation & Technology practice and successfully Co-Founded a Digital Enterprise practice and acted as Practice Leader. I worked with diversified global & public sector clients & customers including horizontal and vertical markets of Federal & State Government Agencies and Commercial clients across globe serving as a trusted strategic advisor to the Leadership teams (CIO/CTO/CSO). Involved in growth markets practices of Healthcare, Energy, global expansion to international markets of Middle East and creation of new emerging technology practices (AI/ML/Connected/Wearable/IoT). I was instrumental in major turnarounds of Agencies, evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies for improved efficiency and effectiveness of client organizations with technology & infrastructure transformation. Developed a holistic, customer-centric approach to every engagement by smart assembly of digital solutions for Digital Citizen, Digital workforce and Digital Services (Design & Integration, Interactive solutions and Platforms & Infrastructure).
Worked with IBM in Global Business Services (GBS), Systems and Technology Group (STG) and Global Technology Services (GTS) in global operations of IBM (BRICS, Europe and North America). At GTS, I used my strategy consulting methodologies, analytical skills to first build strategy, then design, manage and deploy initiatives of Smart Cloud Computing. Lead strategy team driving key initiatives enabling GTS and IBM to realize growth in key opportunity areas of the market of Cloud, Security, Social, Mobile and other services capabilities. At STG, I worked with SAP, a key ISV partnering strategy with top tier players in the SAP ecosystem. I developed and managed ongoing relationships; creating new relationships with key ecosystem partners, ensuring engagement through all levels of IBM. I drove the joint collaboration development efforts of product, roadmaps and releases ensuring successful execution of partnering programs. During my short tenure at Global Business Services, I was an instrumental and key impact player in several strategic outsourcing deals.
At WebMD ran Product Management; I worked on creating Product vision & strategy in collaboration with Partners/vendors/customers, New Product initiatives, new healthcare markets, growth strategies, diversification, exit strategies. Transformed WebMD into Healthcare Information Technology giant. I started my career with Infosys Banking Unit in the EMEA region and drove engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development, guide global teams (onshore and offshore) customization and deployment of deliverables.
My other experience outside of the corporate world involves social entrepreneurship activities, leading and driving NGO groups and activities in Asia, assisting my alma maters in industry and government collaboration of Public-Private Partnership, funding of research projects in robotics, cyber security, emerging technologies (AI/ML/IoT/CV). I was recognized with the three highest Booz Allen awards: the Values in Practice Award, the Professional Excellence Award, and the Involvement and Impact Award. At IBM, I was recipient of IBM Outstanding Innovation Awards & IBM Corporate Award. Received several Employee of years awards in recognition of exceeding expectations, product innovations and individual performance at WebMD and Infosys. Throughout my career, I have been a valued employee creating greater impact at Organization and Industry level.
Coming to my education, I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University - School of Computer Science with Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering with a minor in Public Policy and undergrad from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in Elect Engineering
