He has an overall 26+ years of experience spread into domain experience in different manufacturing industries (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Fertilizers, Cement, Sugar et all) and thereafter consulting and large project delivery with top globally recognized consulting organization (s).

For the past 10 years, Sanjeev has been working with Dalmia group and have been responsible for building up Digital & IT Strategy, PMO and Governance process and delivering IT applications build up around SAP to enable Dalmia business growth.

As a Solution Architect, I am responsible for the overall solution proposition to meet IAF requirements. This involves the overall integrated solution in terms of hardware, software (including multi applications installation and their integration) and developing the business solution as per the requirements of the POC scripts released by IAF. Specifically the contribution is listed below:

 

  • Understand the requirements of project.
  • Work out the complete business solution as per the requirements.
  • Working out the hardware requirements, software application requirements and the key skill set requirements for delivering the POC based on the business solution envisaged.
  • Selecting the team to build up the solution.
  • Interacting with partners (vendors) including forming up of the teaming agreements for delivery of the solution.
  • Interacting with the business users including CXOs for the solution discussions and clarifications.
  • Guiding the team to deploy the solution by playing a mentor role

  • Enterprise Application COE at the $1.5 billion Dalmia Group was established to provide the systems and technology underpinnings for the Group’s diversification and expansion ambitions. The Group, whose business interests include commodities such as cement, refractory and sugar, is expanding into power, while consolidating its leadership status in cement through an aggressive acquisition strategy with 14 manufacturing plants spread across length and breadth of India. Group has invested in many technology initiatives by investing in satellite applications evolving around its core SAP ERP application.

     

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    1. Lead change: Break the inertia against the use of systems and build standardized processes for an organization where systems have not developed in lockstep with business expansion.
    2. Deployment of ERP system (including upgrade to SAP S/4H), Reporting tool (Qlik), Manufacturing system (MES) and its integration with SAP, Logistics system (FreightTiger) and its integration with SAP, Bank Collection and Payment Integration, Employee payment integration.
    3. Build up of platform for managing dealer financing transactions thru end to end SAP integration.
    4. To set-up the processes for governing the Application COE team which includes:
      1. Change Control Process
      2. Template Governance Model
      3. Master Data Management Process
      4. Support Governance Process
      5. IT General Control Compliance
      6. Decision Support Mechanism
      7. Correcting the Landscape
    5. Participate in business discussions to build up IT budget in line with business expectations.
    6. To ensure that the costs are controlled within the budgets.
    7. To effectively use IT tools as an enabler to business by providing right kind of critical inputs through analysis of trend using data generated by various IT applications.
    8. Program Creation, Governance & deployment – To work with defined Business Process Owners (BPOs) to build-up new initiatives aimed at reaping business benefits by way of clearly articulated and aligned RoI. Facilitate successful deployment of these programs by measurement of actuals vis-à-vis planned benefits.
    9. Commercial Negotiations and Feasibility Studies – both with the vendors and internal (internal marketing of the features and uses to enhance acceptability)
    10. Set-Up of IT Governance processes in discussions with IT Leadership team
    11. Collaboration with IT Leadership team to enhance the visibility of IT organization
    12. Managing AMS application of various applications thru external IT vendors
