Top Project Highlights

OT Infrastructure Upgrade - OS, Database and Integration Landscape

Upgrading OT infrastructure, OS, Datbase versions, OT applications and overall integration landscape, including endpoints (user workstations, HMI's, etc.) which is in line with Obsolescence Management based on hardware, software version support from various vendors. The project kick started in Jan 2020 and will go on till early 2021.

Split Pot Tapping Capability for optimized metal delivery to Casthouse

I spearheaded this project and sucessfully delivered and exceeded all expectations from Operations Leadership. The project started in Feb 2018 and was delivered in March 2019 without any interruptions in Operations and minimal systems downtime during migration and cut-over.

Reducing Trip Tickets by 20% while accommodating 10% more metal for each shift

I solely delivered this project between Jan 2019 and June 2019 and exceeded all expectations that were laid out by Operations. There was zero downtime while doing this software change and cut-over was very smooth, as per the mgiration plan. As an outcome, I delivered over %5 million in annual savings with an increase in production capacity, reduced maintenance, savings in fuel as well as significant increase in operational efficiency. The cycle time in this process reduced by 20% and increase in crucible capacity utlization from 81% prior to the implementation to over 96% post implementation.

Capacity Improvement of IFS Infrastructure

Significant improvement in capacity of IFS infrastructure - including federation of servers, improved integration between all offshore and central instance of IFS. This was delivered in phases between October 2013 and Feb 2015 (tiill I was associated with the organization).

Migration of EPMS Server from 32-bit to 64-bit hardware followed by hyper-care

I architected this this project and led implementation, migration and cut-over between July 2012 and March 2013. This project was completely delivered by inhouse team thus saving organization in excess of $90000. This was to upgrade the system and infrastructure for optimized performance, thus providing a platform for functional upgradation too. Post implementation, performance was better as well as periodic maintenance improved.

EPMS and Labware LIMS Implementation, Commissioning, Stabilization, Support and Enhancements

These OT systems were implemented between 2009 and Jan 2013. My involvement inluded managing system implementation, integration with plant Control Systems and SAP as well as 24*7 operational support coverage to keep operations running round the clock. Ensured systems uptime to be over 99%.
